Audiovisual Technologies in the classroom

Hey everyone! This is a new blog I created focused on instructional technology.  I thought I'd add a post that I have shared in the past on a previous blog (for teaching strategies).  Below is a Slides presentation that I made for one of my classes in my Master's Degree program at Ashford University.  It provides tutorials on four different audiovisual technologies. Check it out!

Learning reflection

I didn't really learn anything new through the blog creation process because I have made multiple blogs in the past, and it was not a new experience for me.  In general, when blogging, I've learned that people usually value what I have to say and use my tips for teaching.  I often get feedback from my blogs of how people enjoyed my instructional strategies, and people often ask when I'm going to post another post to give them more tips for teaching.  I did not face any struggles or challenges in creating my blog, but I was successful with the creating and posting in my blog.

Blog Creation Process

The process of creating a blog is easy and intuitive for anyone that has spent any time with current technology.  For Blogger, I simply went to blogger.com, then I didn't need to create an account because I already have a Google account and Blogger account.  I simply added a new blog by clicking on the drop down menu in the upper left corner for recent blogs, then clicking "new blog" at the bottom of the drop down menu.   After I clicked "new blog", I chose a theme.  Once I chose a theme, I was able to create a new post by clicking "new post" in the upper left corner.  Then I simply typed my post, and clicked "publish."

Introduction

My name is Kelly.  I'm a high school teacher seeking to get into high school administration, and am currently attending Ashford University to earn my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology.  Part of my graduate work involves learning about new instructional technologies, and sharing those with others.  This blog is a forum for sharing instructional technologies I learn about in my coursework, as well as pedagogy for including technology in teaching and learning.  Feel free to read my blogs and use the information shared in your educational or professional environment, and even share with others!
